Director of Library & Research

The Research Unit provides accurate and timely information designed to inform National Assembly Members about the many aspects of their role. Members also have access to the library, with high-quality reference and information resources. 

In order words, the unit provides parliamentary research and library support to all 58 Assembly Members and all Committees. 

The Research Unit provides two key services: 

1. Reactive Research: A confidential and impartial research inquiry service for Members on issues relating to National Assembly business and constituency work.  

1. Proactive Research:  publicly available research briefings on topical issues to help Members in their legislative, representative and oversight roles. This includes summaries of Bills being considered by the National Assembly.
