The Communication, ICT, Press and Protocol Department was created with the objectives to promote the National Assembly, parliamentary procedures and the work of committees of the Assembly to national and international audiences.  

One of the most important tasks for any parliament is to create an effective link between the public and its representatives.  

Allowing voters to have an input into the law-making process and, on the other hand, being able to communicate the purpose of the legislation to voters are two twin aspects of legislative work which require a concerted effort.  

Effective communications contribute to avoiding disconnection between voters and deputies. 

This unit, therefore, ‘Connects, Communicates, and Converges’.
