National Assembly Authority is the body mandated to supervise the National Assembly Service.
The authority shall consist of –
The Speaker as Chairperson;
Four other members of the National Assembly appointed by the Speaker acting in accordance with the advice of a Committee of the National assembly; and;
The Clerk of the National Assembly who shall be secretary to the Authority

Functions of the Authority

As prescribed by the National Assembly Service Act, the Authority is responsible for the general supervision over the Service. It considers and approves the prepared financial estimates of the National Assembly and promotes the welfare of members of the National Assembly and members of the Service.
It is the mandate of the Authority to review the annual report of the Service submitted to it by the Clerk and present it to the National Assembly.
