Health, Refugees, Disaster and Humanitarian Relief
Mandate
The Committee on Health, Disaster, Humanitarian Relief and Refugees is mandated to oversee policies, legislation, programs, and institutions relating to public health, emergency preparedness and response, disaster management, humanitarian assistance, and refugee affairs. The committee ensures that government actions in these sectors are effective, well-coordinated, and responsive to the needs of the population, particularly during crises and emergencies.
Description
<p>The Committee on Health, Disaster, Humanitarian Relief and Refugees oversees critical sectors that safeguard public health and provide support during emergencies and crises. It works to ensure accessible and quality healthcare services, effective disaster preparedness and response systems, coordinated humanitarian assistance, and the protection of refugees and displaced persons. Through its oversight role, the committee promotes resilience, accountability, and timely delivery of essential services to affected populations.</p>
