Description
<p>The Special Select Committee was established by the National Assembly to conduct a comprehensive inquiry into the sale and disposal of the assets of former President Yahya A.J.J. Jammeh. The Committee was tasked with examining the legality, transparency, accountability, and adherence to established procedures in the management and disposal of the assets, engaging relevant stakeholders, reviewing documentary evidence, and submitting findings and recommendations to the National Assembly to strengthen governance, public accountability, and the management of state assets.</p>
