Trade and Regional Integration
Mandate
The Committee on Trade and Regional Integration oversees policies, programs, and institutions that facilitate trade and strengthen regional economic cooperation. It works to ensure that trade initiatives, agreements, and integration efforts contribute to economic growth, market access, investment promotion, and sustainable development. Through its oversight and advisory functions, the committee promotes accountability, effective policy implementation, and the country's participation in regional and international economic frameworks.

It could be recalled that during the 3rd ordinary session of the National Assembly in September 2019, the Hon Minister of Transport, Works and Infrastructure tabled a motion for ratification of the Protocol relating to the amendment of the Convention on the offences and certain other acts committed on board aircraft, (Montreal Protocol).
